Just the mention of pizza probably gets your juices flowing. It certainly makes our mouths water here at Reddick Brown Ford! Chain places are all well and good, but we can give you some insight into the best pizza to be had here in Morrison, TN and McMinnville, TN.
Viola’s Pizza Company
Just about the best place in Morrison isn’t quite in Morrison: it’s located at 7 Lynn St in Viola, just nine miles southeast on 287. These people have a real passion for their pizza, and it shows. They are constantly crafting new pizzas and flavors, so it’s worth checking them out regularly to see what’s up.
If you love meat, try the Tractor Pull. If you have vegetable lovers in your midst, the Valley Garden is a great choice. Their pizza salad is also a huge favorite of ours.
Begonias
On 239 E Main St in McMinnville, Begonias is not just one of the best pizza places in the area: it’s one of the best restaurants, full stop. The accomodating and friendly staff will make you feel welcome, and the craft beer selection alone is worth the trip. If you have a few brews, be sure to drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
Just about everything is made in-house, and the “goat pizza” is something you really need to try. They also have great food that isn’t pizza, but that’s now why you’re here. Just know that your whole crew will be satisfied, even if you have someone with you who doesn’t really want pizza.
Topz Frozen Yogurt
Yes, you read that correctly: frozen yogurt. Topz is all about the amazing frozen desserts, of course, but don’t let the name fool you: their brick-oven pizza and deli options are worth the visit even if you never take a bite of their frozen yogurt. They also cook some of their sandwiches in the brick oven!
Try the All That Jazz pizza, which offers peppers, onions, mushrooms, pepperoni, and sausage. Their special pizza sauce is out of this world, but the pesto sauce on the Vegetarian Delight is just as good, in our opinion. Try the Santa Fe pizza if you’re in the mood for something different and spicy.
Rafael’s Italian
When you’re in the mood for some classic thin-crust pizza, Rafael’s should be your destination. This locally-owned spot has great food and service to match. You might notice that they serve everything in disposable containers: that’s just because they don’t have a commercial-grade washing system and have to meet health code regulations. Don’t let the disposable containers fool you: this is no fast-food joint.
Their veggie pizza is the standout here, but we also recommend trying the Tour of Italy, which includes a taste of lots of different things. The lasagna is also very nice here.
