This park is open daily from 8 to 4:30, and it features a stone structure that was built over a millennia ago. You can hike around the walls of Old Stone Fort or explore some of the other trails in the state park. There are miles of trails that you can hike down with intensities ranging from easy to strenuous. more 2. Rock Island State Park We also love visiting Rock Island State Park at 82 Beach Road. This 883-acre park is an ideal place to go to capture stunning waterfall pictures or host a family reunion. There are six pavilions that can be reserved, and these shelters can hold anywhere from 50 to 75 people. If you want to go on an affordable vacation, we strongly recommend renting one of the cabins in this state park. There are 10 cabins conveniently located just half a mile from the Caney Fork River's sandy beach, and two of them are pet-friendly. There is a lot to do in this park, including hiking, swimming, fishing, birding, and boating. You can easily fill a weekend or long weekend with activities here. 3. Burgess Falls State Park Another ideal park to visit for spectacular vistas of waterfalls is Burgess Falls State Park at 4000 Burgess Falls Drive. You can generally visit this park from 8 to 7 daily.
