New yellow gold 2022 Ford Ranger driving off road in rocky mountainous terrain.

5 Things to Love About the 2022 Ford Ranger

Combining performance with luxury, the 2022 Ranger is a unique midsize pickup that seats up to five passengers. Along with a powerful engine, this formidable truck offers a terrain management system for off-road driving and plenty of advanced tech features to keep you entertained and connected while out on the road. So if you haven't heard about the 2022 Ford Ranger yet, here's a shortlist of some of its standout features. 1. A Turbocharged Engine The Ranger's phenomenal performance can be attributed to its impressive 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. Featuring a twin-scroll turbocharger, this engine delivers an impressive 270 horsepower, as well as 310 pound-feet of torque. The result of all this is a powerful engine that accelerates quickly and provides a 1,905 best-in-class payload rating, along with a 7,500-pound maximum towing capacity. 2. Terrain Management System To conquer rugged terrains, a four-mode terrain management system is available, which features electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) technology. So whether you encounter grass, mud, snow, sand, or virtually any other type of challenging terrain, you can turn a dial to instantly optimize the truck's traction and engine responsiveness for these scenarios. 3. Blind Spot Monitoring This pickup also comes with Ford Co-Pilot360, a diverse suite of intuitive safety features, though its BLIS feature is a clear standout in the group. BLIS, or Blind Spot Information System, uses radar sensors to carefully monitor the area around the truck. If another vehicle creeps its way into one of your blind spots without you noticing, this system can notify you of this to prevent collisions when you go to make a lane change. 4. On-the-Go Entertainment The perfect pickup just wouldn't be complete without an advanced infotainment system like SYNC 3. This feature provides everything from smartphone connectivity to driver-assist features, so you can make hands-free calls, ask for navigational information, or toggle through your favorite satellite radio stations. Best of all, you can do all this without ever taking your eyes off the road, thanks to its voice command technology. 5. Adaptive Cruise Control The vehicle's Adaptive Cruise Control lets you specify a speed for the vehicle to remain at while it both aims to stay at that speed and adjusts to compensate for slower vehicles in your path. When the flow of traffic either slows or comes to a complete stop, the system will then slow or stop the vehicle and will then accelerate and resume your preferred speed again as soon as the coast is clear. Strong performance, adaptive safety features, and plenty of in-cabin technology are just some of the 2022 Ranger's many exciting features. A Buyer's Guide to the 2022 Ford Bronco

The 2022 Ford Bronco is a mid-size primarily off-road SUV released by Ford in 2021. For drivers looking for an SUV they can put into G.O.A.T. mode and go anywhere, the Ford Bronco is the perfect off-road SUV. Drivers looking for a good everyday vehicle will enjoy the Bronco as well since it performs well on asphalt. The original Ford Bronco was produced by Ford Motor Company from 1966 to 1996. Ford ended production of the Bronco in 1996 due lack of interest in a 2-door SUV. The Bronco is the first off-road sports utility vehicle produced in the American market and Ford's answer to the Jeep. New/Unique Features Since the sixth-generation Bronco was just introduced in 2021, there have been no major changes to the vehicle. Ford did decide to release the Raptor, a more rugged off-road version of the Bronco. It has a wider frame, beefed-up suspension, stronger axles, and more rigid crossbars. It includes an upgraded cooling system and a twin-turbo EcoBoost 3.0 TT V6 engine with 392 horsepower. Engine and Transmission For models other than the Raptor, Ford offers two different engine choices. The first is the 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder with 300 horsepower. Drivers may choose a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed manual. The larger engine is a twin-turbo 2.7L V-6 with 330 horsepower. Only the 10-speed automatic transmission is available with this engine. Exterior In addition to the Raptor, which really isn't a trim for the Bronco, it comes in six different trim models. Either 2-door or 4-door models are available, and the doors can be removed and stored. Drivers may also choose between a hardtop or a removable top for the full convertible experience. Hot Pepper Red Metallic and Cyber Orange add two new color choices for the body. Interior When it comes to the interior features of the Bronco, comfort meets durability. The Base and Big Bend models come with cloth seats in two color choices. The Black Diamond model offers vinyl seats while the Outer Banks model allows drivers to choose either cloth or leather. The Badlands come with Marine-Grade vinyl or leather seats, and the Wildtrak has leather seats. The 2-door model seats four and the f-door model seats five. Technology The SYNC 3 infotainment system comes with an 8-inch touchscreen and a factory-integrated navigation system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration allow drivers to connect their smartphones to play music and receive phone calls and messages. Drivers can use the convenient touchscreen or voice activation with the infotainment system. The Ford Bronco offers power and capability whether drivers want an off-road experience or need a good everyday vehicle. To schedule your test drive and buy your Bronco, visit Reddick Brown Ford.

Service Your Vehicle Now to Get Ready for Winter

When was the last time you had your tires rotated? Or your oil changed? In a busy world, it can be easy to forget about routine maintenance for your vehicle. For most of us, we just hop in our car and use it to get where we need to go. But servicing your car is important not just to make sure it’s ready to go whenever you need it, but also to help increase its longevity. By staying on top of your maintenance schedule you can make sure your car is in top operating condition, which can help extend its life and also ensure that you and those you love are safe from sudden maintenance-related issues. Servicing Your Car for the Winter: 5 Things to Keep in Mind 1. Tire care—checking pressure and tread When was the last time you checked the pressure on your cars’ tires? Keep in mind that low pressure on your vehicle’s tires can lead to uneven wear, and shorten the overall life of the tires. Low tire pressure can also be dangerous, leading to poor or uneven traction on the road. Especially with changing weather coming up as we enter fall and winter, it’s important to make sure the pressure is good in your tires. By getting your car serviced, you can have tire pressure, as well as tread, checked out by a professional. Another thing you may want to request is to have your tires rotated. As a general rule of thumb, tires should be rotated every 6,000 to 8,000 miles to ensure even wear across all four tires. 2. Change your oil Many of us have a little sticker on the inside of our dashboard reminding us when we last had our oil changed, and when we’ll need to change it again. But there’s a few things to note. First, that sticker won’t help if you don’t remember to check it—so go ahead and read what it says to make sure you’re not overdue for an oil change. And second, the sticker just provides basic guidelines for when your next oil change will be needed. Each car is different, and it’s not a bad idea to check the oil yourself to make sure you have enough to let your car keep operating safely. How to Check Your Oil To check your oil, wait until your car is completely cool (don’t check it right after you drive it, or the oil will be hot and expanded). Pull out the dipstick, wipe it down with a paper towel or cloth, and then stick the dipstick back in. Now look at the dipstick and see where the oil line is. If it’s at or above the line needed to indicate you have sufficient oil, then you’re good to go; if it’s below, it’s time to get more oil. 3. Check your wiper blades If it hasn’t rained much lately you may not have needed to use your wiper blades, but with colder weather coming on it’s a good idea to double-check them to make sure they work. Wiper blades can slowly wear out just from being exposed to the elements. A good rule of thumb is to replace your blades every six months to a year. If you’re unsure whether the wiper blades on your car are approaching the end of their life, ask a professional during your next car service to inspect your blades and see what their advice is for replacing them. 4. Check and freshen your fluids When the weather starts getting colder the fluids in your car can get thicker, which can make them move more slowly through the engine. Right now is a good time to double-check all the fluids in your car to make sure they’re both clean and topped off. Especially if you live somewhere with extreme changes in temperature, it’s a good idea to drain and replace your car’s coolant. This is because coolant has water added to it, and the ratio of water to coolant will usually be higher in the summer than during the winter. In the summer, the ratio of water to coolant should be 50:50. In the winter, the ratio of water to coolant should be 40:60. 5. Check your heaters and defrosters Given that we’re just now entering fall, you may not have had a need for using the heater or defroster in your car. Go ahead and turn them on now, before you really need them, to make sure they’re working properly. The last thing you want is to find out they’re not working on a cold morning when you’re running late for work, or trying to get your kids to school. Want to get ahead of the game? Schedule your car for service right now.
