2021 Ford F-150
America's favorite light-duty truck is back for the 2021 model year to maintain its place at the head of its class. The 2021 Ford F-150 is tougher and more advanced than it's ever been.
Trim Levels
The 2021 Ford F-150 comes in six trim level options, each its own level of luxury. Go for the entry-level XL, or add to the list of creature comforts by moving up through the XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited.
Depending on the trim level, you'll have the choice between three body styles: the regular cab, the extended SuperCab, and the largest SuperCrew cab. You'll also have the choice between three bed lengths: 5.5, 6.5, or 8 feet. There is an assortment of exterior upgrades available to the F-150, perhaps most notably the Pro Power Onboard feature that turns your bed into a generator, extended running boards, and dynamic bending headlamps.
Engine
The 2021 F-150's six-engine lineup starts with the 290-horsepower 3.3-liter V-6 that produces 265 pound-feet of torque. Next up, the 2.7-liter V-6 offers 400 pound-feet of torque. Choose the 5.0-liter V-8 for 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 delivers 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. Go diesel with the 3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6 that outputs 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The all-new 3.5-liter PowerBoost full hybrid V-6 gives you 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque to take on your tough jobs.
Every engine is matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
If you're looking for a truck that can handle its own, you may be pleased with the new F-150's best-in-class tow rating of 14,000 pounds and best-in-class 3,325-pound payload rating. One of the most exciting additions to the 2021 model year is the Tremor Package, which adds off-roading gear to your truck, including a one-pedal trail drive mode, the Trail Control system, off-road-tuned shocks, and more. Efficiency-minded drivers will do well with the hybridized F-150, which can still handle up to 12,700 pounds in towing.
Interior
Truck drivers searching for a luxury experience will love the Limited's unique leather upholstery for the massaging, heated and ventilated front seats. The 18-speaker B&O sound system makes the music you play through the F-150's standard smart touch screen sound better than it's ever sounded. The center console can be configured to turn into a workspace that lets you turn your truck into a mobile office. The higher the trim level you go, the more impressive the 2021 F-150's interior becomes.
Safety Features
As usual, the 2021 Ford F-150 features an array of intelligent driver-assist features that improve the truck's safety around other vehicles. Opt for a model outfitted with Ford's Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage to safely change lanes on the highway, trailer and all. The lane-keeping system does a great job of fighting driver distraction. The pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking helps drivers react faster to potential dangers ahead. These are but a few of the tools Ford offers to keep you and your truck out of harm's way.
