Trim Levels (Exterior)
There are four amazing trim levels to choose from that give you the ability to choose what you need from your SUV. The base S trim starts you out with LED signature lighting, black beltline molding, dual chrome exhaust tips, and a manual liftgate. Moving up to the SE, SEL, or Titanium trims will add a variety of other standard and available features. Some of these features include privacy glass, black roof rack side rails, a power liftgate, LED fog lamps, a body-color rear spoiler, and lots more. There's also a hybrid version available for the SE trim level.
Engine (Power)
With four engines to choose from, you'll get exactly the power you're looking for in your Ford Escape. The first engine is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost with start-stop technology, which allows you to save on gas. Next is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that also has the gas-saving start-stop technology and an eight-speed SelectShift transmission. You can also opt for the hybrid 2.5-liter iVCT Atkinson-cycle inline-four engine that's paired with an 88 kW electric motor. The last option is a plug-in version of the hybrid engine. It can be charged using either a level one 110-volt or a level two 240-volt charger.
Performance
No matter which engine option you decide on, this SUV will provide you with great performance. Using the selectable drive modes, which include eco, sport, normal, slippery, and deep snow/sand, the Escape will modify the electronic stability control system and traction control system. This lets you improve your driving experience regardless of the road conditions. You'll be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds with your Escape, when properly equipped. Front-wheel drive is standard across all trims, which makes for a smooth ride no matter what the road conditions are.
Interior
You'll feel right at home behind the wheel of the Escape with all its convenient amenities. Configure your digital cluster display the way you want it on the 12.3-inch screen. The new design features a rotary gear shift dial in place of a traditional knob-style shifter. It makes more room for conveniently placed cupholders and a USB port right where you need it. Staying connected is easy in the Escape thanks to the available Sync 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Its easy-to-use design allows you access to your favorite apps on the touch-screen display.
