You can add automatic headlights, fog lights, roof rails, rear windshield wipers, rain-sensing wipers, a rear liftgate, or power heated mirrors as well.

Engine (Power)
The XL Cargo Van has a 2-liter, four-cylinder engine with an auto start and stop system designed to help you conserve fuel in traffic. It produces 162 horsepower and 144 pound-feet of torque. You can also choose a 1.5-liter five-cylinder EcoBlue diesel engine or a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that gives you 169 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. The standard 2-liter engine can go 24 miles per gallon in traffic and 27 miles per gallon on the highway.
Performance
The Transit Connect comes with front-wheel drive, an eight-speed automatic transmission, a heavy-duty 80-amp battery, power steering, hill start assist, and trailer sway control. It also has Torque Vectoring Control which automatically adjusts the speeds of the front wheels for better agility and more precise steering.
Interior
The 2019 Ford Transit Connect seats seven people, and the sliding side doors are easy to open. It comes with a front row overhead storage shelf, keyless entry, and many other convenience features. You can add even more features, including a 6.5-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, wireless charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, a CD player, and remote start.
Safety Features

Since many different employees could end up driving your Transit Connect, it comes with plenty of safety features. Side curtain air bags cover all rows, and Curve Control applies the brakes on curves to prevent rollovers. AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control uses gyroscopic sensors to help you maintain control on ice, in the rain, or on gravel. On the highway, it works with Side Wind Stabilization to make driving in windy conditions less stressful.

The Pre-Collision Assist system includes pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. There's also a spare tire, a rearview camera, an anti-theft system, and an optional reverse sensing system. With Cargo Van models, you can add a governor to keep drivers from exceeding the speed limit.
