2020 Ford F-250
The Ford F-250 pickup truck is powerful, stylish, and capable. It offers some of the highest towing numbers in its class and comes with the latest safety and entertainment technology. The 2020 arrived with updates that include the addition of a new gas engine, and a new 10-speed automatic transmission for the diesel Power Stroke engine. Additional updates include a new Tremor off-road package, and the base XL trim is now eligible for several advanced driver aids. Take a look at the 2020 Ford F-250.
Trim Levels
The F-250 trims start with the XL. It has telescoping tow mirrors and a removable locking tailgate. The XLT comes with 18-inch wheels, power-adjustable heated side door mirrors, a chrome grille, and chrome steel bumpers. Step up to the Lariat for PowerScope Trailer Tow mirrors with LED spotlights and a foldaway feature, or to the King Ranch for LED box lighting, lower accent two-tone paint, and accent-color running boards and bumpers. The Platinum models have chrome exterior handles, power-deployable cab steps, and a platinum satin chrome grille. This trim also has a tailgate step and 20-inch polished alloy wheels. The top-level Limited comes with a power twin-panel moonroof, a satin finish grille and door handles, and satin chrome tailgate applique.
Engine
The base engine for the 2020 F-250 is a 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine with 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. A new engine for the 2020 is a 7.3-liter gas-powered V-8 that generates 430 horsepower, and you can still get the 6.7-liter turbodiesel V-8, but it will now get 1,050 pound-feet of torque, and it puts out 450 horsepower.
Performance
Towing power is what the F-250 is all about. With the turbodiesel V-8 and the tow package, this pickup can now tow up to 37,000 pounds. With one of the gas engines under the hood and a conventional tow hitch, the F-250 can tow up to 18,000 pounds.
Interior
All three of the Super Duty cabs are spacious and comfortable. The entry-level trims have the basic comfort features with extras such as heated and cooled seats in the top-level trims. Starting with the Lariat, the F-250 has premium leather-trimmed seats in the front and a leather-wrapped steering wheel along with power-adjustable pedals. The King Ranch has unique Kingsville Antique effect leather bucket seats, and the Platinum comes with driver's seat memory settings. With the XLT and above, you get an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the SYNC 3 infotainment system, and several USB ports, including USB-C chargers. If you choose the high-end Limited, it has a wireless charging pad.
Safety Features
All of the Ford F-250 models have a rearview camera, trailer sway control, and AdvancTrac with roll stability control. The XLT adds a blind-spot information system, rear cross-traffic alert with trailer tow, a pre-collision assist system with automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning, and it also adds lane-keeping alert. Step up to the King Ranch for Ford's Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System with Pro Trailer Backup Assist and the Platinum for adaptive steering.
